Brad Ainsle
Brad Ainslie is a lifelong Holstein enthusiast with a passion for dairy farming, breeding registered holsteins, and researching Holstein nostalgia. A former dairyman and active breeder using the Boardwalk Holsteins prefix, he currently serves on the NY Holstein Executive Board as 2nd VP and is active within the organization and enjoys his time at shows, sales and Holstein functions. For the last 2 years, he has been paired with Russel Gammon for the live commentary at the NY Holstein Spring Carousel Show in Hamburg NY. He currently works for Seneca Dairy Systems where he helps dairy farmers design and layout barns that are functional, efficient and designed for the future.
Brad lives in Clayville NY with his wife Carol, and they have 4 adult children and 1 grandchild. His experience as a farmer, breeder and industry person gives him a unique perspective and a genuine commitment to the dairy industry.
David Lentz
David J. Lentz is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association (PHA), where he has worked for over 25 years. He manages dairy cattle sales, coordinates quarantine and export projects, and fosters connections between the members of the PA Holstein Association and the dairy industry in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
His passion for the Registered Holstein business started when he was around eight years old, when he began preparing registration applications and researching bulls in the Red Book. Lentz immersed himself into Pennsylvania Junior Holstein programs– like dairy bowl and DJM– after his family exited the dairy business in 1987, leading to his achievement of national DJM status in 1992. He interned with Holstein USA in 1993 as Field Representative, serving members in New York, Pennsylvania, and California, and joined the Holstein USA Field Representative staff in 1994. He covered the Southeast United States from 1994-1997, and then moved back to Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for the Mid-Atlantic region until 2001. PHA then hired him as the Director of Sales, where he managed cattle merchandising efforts through auction and private-treaty sales. In 2020, he became the Executive Director of PHA. Lentz was thrilled to be part of the first team of commentators for the International Holstein Show at the 2025 World Dairy Expo, and is honored to be on the first team that will provide commentary of the upcoming Eastern National Holstein Show at the All-American Dairy show.
In his community, Lentz served as a 4-H leader for the Perry County Dairy Club for 10 years, and is a member of Incarnation U.C.C. in Newport, PA, where he serves on consistory and as a children’s sermon presenter. He sits on the PA Dairyman’s Association board, which helps fund numerous dairy industry organizations and countless dairy youth activities.
Lentz and his wife of 29 years, Michelle, reside in New Bloomfield, PA. They have a twenty-two-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, who is attending the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University for graduate studies in Vocal Performance. As a family, they continue to exhibit Elizabeth’s De-Lite Holsteins and Jerseys at various local, state, and national shows, as time allows. David and Michelle are both alumni of The Pennsylvania State University.

Doug Martin
Doug Martin of Chambersburg, PA, has been a part of Pleasant Valley Jerseys since 1979. The family farm has grown to become a grass-based dairy farming operation that milks 300 Jersey cows twice a day and raises young stock/replacements. Several notable cows over the years are Pleasant Valley Prime Heather EX 96, Pleasant Valley A NS Rosel EX 95, and Pleasant Valley Landy EE Brenda EX 95. The farming operation also manages 700 acres of land devoted to perennial and annual forage crops for pasture, hay and baleage.
Doug’s lifelong journey of registered purebred Jerseys has included trips to Australia, Canada, England, Jersey Island and New Zealand. He considers the many friends and mentors in the Jersey community to be what makes this business most enjoyable.
Doug’s passion for Jersey bloodlines and cattle breeding as well as sharing life experiences are his driving force in passing the lessons learned to the next generation.
Doug has been married to Julie for over 40 years and they have three married children and 10 grandchildren.
Russell Gammon
Russell Gammon was raised on the east coast of Canada on the north shore of Nova Scotia. He is a graduate of both the former Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the University of Guelph in Ontario. His employment resume to date has included a long term stint with Jersey Canada, work managing the Semex Global Jersey program along with work with three other dairy breeds, and a managerial role with the Canadian Goat Society. Current projects include work with the Canadian Guernsey Association, writing, announcing and commentary for dairy shows in various parts of North America. Gammon is super excited to be part of the initial tranche of commentary at the great Pennsylvania All American Dairy Show!

Michael Hurst
Michael Hurst, Director of USA Sales & Business Development at Semex, has had over 30 years of business-to-business experience in the agricultural industry. Michael served as the assistant dairy judging team coach while pursuing both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Ohio State University. During this time, he also spent 2 years as a part time classifier for the American Guernsey Association.
After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Master of Science degree in Dairy Cattle Genetics, Hurst worked for the American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA) as Director of Appraisal (Classification) and Assistant Manager for Jersey Marketing Service. During his tenure at AJCA, Hurst also served as coordinator for the All-American Jersey Show.
In 2009 Hurst joined Semex as the North East Regional Manager and served in that role until 2014.Prior to returning to Semex in 2016 Michael was Director of Sales at River Valley Farm, playing a key role in the launch and development of the well-respected River Valley Sires.
Michael grew up in Elkhart County, Indiana where his grandfather Dr. M.L. Weldy was a nationally recognized large animal veterinarian and owned the well-known, Maurana Farm Guernsey herd. Today, Michael, his wife Tawnya and daughter Hannah live on a small farm in Waynesville, Ohio where they raise registered Jersey and Guernsey heifers that are part of a small group of elite registered cattle housed at both Quietcove Holsteins and Herman Jerseys.
Michael has judged Jerseys in 5 different countries, been associate judge of the Jersey Jug twice and has judged both Jerseys and Guernseys at multiple state fairs around the United States.
