Announcing the 2022 Judges for the All-American Dairy Show and Premier National Junior Show
PNJS Ayrshire & AADS Guernsey Judge
Michael grew up on his family’s farm, Palmyra Farm Ayrshires and Holsteins in Maryland where he remains active on the farm. He was a member of the Maryland State 4-H Dairy judging team as well as a member of the 2005 Cornell University judging teams in his youth. Michael has judged state, regional, national and international shows including the 2021 WDE Ayrshire Show and Mid-West and enjoys judging cattle of every breed. Michael also donates his time as an official for the intercollegiate judging contest held annually at the World Dairy Expo. His family has been fortunate enough to have been named Premier Breeder of the International Ayrshire Show at WDE nine times as well as exhibiting many champions at the many shows they have attended. They are also breeder of Palmyra TriStar Burdette, the five-time premier sire at WDE Palmyra Berkley P Reagan the premiere sire of the 2021 WDE. Michael is currently the Director of Operations with Trans Ova Genetics as well as owner of Palmyra Farm Cheese.
PNJS Jersey & AADS Red & White Judge
Mike Duckett resides in Rudolph, Wisconsin with his wife, Julie and two kids Logan and Chloe. Their family farm, Duckett Holsteins, has BAA of 114.3 and has developed one Ex-97, four EX-96, and six EX-95. The farm has been Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeder at World Dairy Expo, Mid-West Spring National, Wisconsin Championship Show, and earned more than 70 All-American Awards. Genetic Futures is owned by the Ducketts’, it is a business that offers many kinds of reproduction and recipient services. Specializing in donor care and IVF embryo transfer. Past shows Mike has judged include New York Spring Holstein Show, Northeast Fall Holstein Show, WI R&W and Jersey Spring Shows, California Holstein and Jersey Spring Shows, Minnesota State Show, and Iowa State Fair.
PNJS Red & White & AADS Ayrshire Judge
Matt Hawbaker lives in Clear Spring, Maryland with his wife, Sarah and their daughters, Kenley and Hadley. Growing up with beef cattle, Matt was introduced to the dairy industry as a teenager when he took jobs on local farms. After a ten-year career as a professional dairy cattle fitter working with top farms such as Windy Knoll View Holsteins, Savage-Leigh Holsteins, Waverly Farm Jerseys and MD-Hillbrook Sales and Services, Matt opened Interstate Heifer Care in 2013. Entrusted with elite show heifers owned by dairy enthusiasts from around the globe, he has worked with and housed numerous All-Americans including 15 in 2017 and multiple World Diary Expo Junior Champions. Matt has also judged the Delaware State Fair, Maryland State Jersey Show, Georgia All-Breeds Heifer Show and county fairs.
PNJS Guernsey & AADS Milking Shorthorn Judge
Growing up on the family farm led Robert to farm in partnership with my father, and today with wife Kate and daughters, Lilly and Rose, they milk a herd of 190 pedigree dairy cattle (80% are Milking Shorthorn, the rest made up with Guernsey, Ayrshire and Jerseys) and have 200 youngstock. After studying dairy herd management in 2005, he began building the pedigree herd with Cotonhall prefix. In 2010, the opportunity to travel to Australia on a youth placement to visit breeders of Illawarra cattle gave Robert the opportunity to work with many top herds in the Illawarra breed. In the United Kingdom, the Kites have won National Dairy Shorthorn Champion 2017, 2021; UK Dairy Day 2018; UK Dairy Expo 2020; four times All Britain Champion Calf; and five times National Champion winners. Robert serves as Chairman of Shorthorn Sires UK, the marketing arm for the UK Dairy Shorthorn Society, working with the society’s committee for sire selection.
PNJS Brown Swiss & AADS Holstein Judge
Chris is from Marysville, OH where he lives with his wife Elizabeth and daughters, Elaina, Ava and Audrey. He grew up on a Registered Holstein and Brown Swiss Farm. They currently exhibit under the Lah-Dale and Brown Velvet prefixes. They have bred five All-American Swiss and exhibited Intermediate Champion Brown Swiss at World Dairy Expo in 2004. Chris has judged several state and national shows. Highlights include judging at the World Dairy Expo 4 times, the All-American Dairy show in Harrisburg 5 times and the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville 8 times. He has also had the opportunity to judge internationally in Costa Rica, Japan and Australia
PNJS Holstein & AADS Jersey Judge
Tyler Reynolds works on his family’s diary farm, Reyncrest Farm in Western NY. Upon graduation from Cornell University in 2013, Tyler returned home to the dairy where they now milk 1,300 registered Holsteins and crop 2,400 acres of land. In addition to the commercial dairy, the Reynolds family also has 40 head of show cattle on the farm. Tyler and his wife Kelly as well as his siblings, Andy and Mackenzie show cattle at local, state, and national shows. They have bred 17 All-American nominations and have had many Junior All-American nominations as well. In 2019 Reyncrest Farm was named Premier Exhibitor at the Northeast Spring National and Premier Breeder at the Northeast Fall National Holstein Shows as well as being the Premier Breeder of the HAUSA All-National Contest. In addition, they were the Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer Show at World Dairy Expo and the Premier Breeder of the Heifer Show at the Royal.
PNJS Milking Shorthorn Judge
Josh began working with cattle at an early age on his uncles Locust-Ayr Farm where they showed Holsteins and Jerseys at the state and national level. He and his wife Leeann along with daughter Emmalee reside in Pennsylvania where they breed Holsteins and Jerseys. Josh is an Area Representative for ST Genetics. He has prepared and show many cattle throughout the local and national levels. He has also judged several show throughout the Northeast including the Delaware State Fair and Premier National Junior Guernsey show.
AADS Holstein Associate Judge
Jenny Thomas resides in North Lewisburg, Ohio with her husband Nathan, and children Colton, Kendall and Camryn. Together, along with Nathan’s family they operate Triple-T Holsteins and Jerseys. The current milking herd consists of 30 head with an additional 100 head of heifers and dry cows. Jenny is currently employed at Select Sires as a Communication Specialist. In addition, she also is a livestock photographer with Cybil Fisher Photography on a part-time basis. Triple-T has been honored to breed, own or develop over 140 All-American and/or All-Canadian nominations over the past 16 years. Jenny has judged several shows with a few highlights being the 2021 New England Summer Holstein Show, 2020 WI State Red&White Show, 2020 WI State Jersey Show, Big E Junior Show, and served as Associate Judge for the All American Jersey Junior Show in 2016.
AADS Brown Swiss Judge
Before establishing Random Luck Farm with daughter Allison and son Matthew, he worked as a dairy fitter and held herdsman positions with Sunshine Genetics, Pinehurst Farms and Hagen Holsteins. Random Luck Farm has won 50 Premier Breeder banners with Brown Swiss and Jersey, including twice at World Dairy Expo. In 2019, Thompson was the breeder of the Unanimous All-American Senior Best Three Brown Swiss and 2021 Reserve All-American Senior Best Three Jerseys. He has judged numerous local dairy shows, in addition to the North West National Brown Swiss show, Quebec Summer Brown Swiss show, and the Illinois State show.
