Carla Stetzer

PNJS Ayrshire & AADS Milking Shorthorn Judge

I’m Carla Stetzer from Alma Center, WI and am honored to serve as the judge for the 2023 Open Milking Shorthorn and Junior Ayrshire shows.  I grew up on a 40-cow registered Milking Shorthorn dairy, which my brother and his family now own and operate under the RoVin Acres prefix.  I have been involved with the American Milking Shorthorn Association in various capacities throughout the years and my boys continue to enjoy showing them. My husband Dan and I, along with our three sons Jay, Drew, and Sean enjoy raising and showing our Milking Shorthorns, Jerseys, and Holsteins.  Along with cattle, we also farrow and show pigs which has been a fun new adventure the past few years.  When we are not working with our animals, we are usually coaching or watching our boys play whatever sport is in season. I have been honored to have the opportunity to judge cattle locally and internationally.   I have also enjoyed serving as our counties dairy judging coach alongside my sister for more years than I’d like to say. I have been a programs specialist with CentralStar Coop for 22 years, starting with Accelerated Genetics.  This has given me the opportunity to travel and meet many great people in this industry.  I am excited to serve as a judge and attend the All-American Dairy Show for the first time.

Dean Dohle

Dean Dohle resides in Pleasant Hope, MO, where he owns and operates StarStruck Farm along with his wife Stacy and son Grant, which is home to 50 elite Jerseys.   As a professional cattle fitter for over 15 years, Dean worked with many national champions and All-Americans in several breeds but is most proud to have bred and owned All-American nominated cattle in three different breeds. Today, with a passion for the dairy industry and the showring, Dean runs the day-to-day operations at the dairy and he and his family enjoy showing their Jersey cattle at several state, regional and national shows throughout the year. Dean has had the opportunity to judge state, regional and national shows in over 30 states and Mexico.  He has twice been the Brown Swiss Associate judge at World Dairy Expo as well as the official Milking Shorthorn judge at World Dairy Expo. Dean has had the honor of judging six breeds at the North American Livestock Expo as well as the National Jersey Jug along with the New York Spring Dairy Carousel Jersey show, Ohio Spring Holstein show, Western National Jersey Show and the Southwest National Brown Swiss Show.
