Premier National Junior Guernsey Show Associate Judge
Jeff VanPatten hails from Preble, NY, working as an Area Sales Manager for Premier Select Sires, and developed a passion for developing quality cattle at a young age. Operating under the Highlife prefix, Jeff and his Fiancé, Heather, and their 4 kids, Hailey, John, Grayson, and Josecellynne, own a small herd of high quality, deep pedigreed, Registered Jerseys. Many of these Jerseys have gone on to claim All-American and All-Canadian nominations as well as many Champion, Reserve and Honorable Mentions at National Shows. The most recent accomplishments being the 2025 Jr Best 3 Females at the AJCA All-American show in Louisville, KY and claiming the titles of 2025 Reserve All-American Fall Yearling, Honorable Mention All-American Summer Yearling, and Reserve All-American Jr Best 3 females.
Jeff’s judging career includes multiple local, regional, State and National shows, and Showmanship. Some include, the New York State Fair’s Jr Holstein Show, Milking Shorthorn show and Showmanship, New York Ayrshire Summer Spectacular Showmanship, Florida State Fair Youth Holstein and Jersey Shows, Massachusetts State Holstein and Jersey Shows, as well as many county and 4-H shows.
Jeff not only takes great pride in the cattle he breeds, but also in helping the next generation succeed. He has spent countless hours helping mentor youth by helping with Judging, Fitting and Showmanship Clinics and helping kids understand the importance of good pedigreed animals.
